Cargo Facts Update
10-18-2024
Fellow ABX Pilots,
This week, representatives from the Airline Professionals Association attended the 30th annual Cargo Facts Symposium. The ABX Pilots were the only airline to host a booth, as well as an executive board room for attendees to use. Our parent company, ATSG, also hosted a small booth at the event. This annual gathering draws our current customers, potential new customers, and numerous other leaders involved with air cargo. During the conference, we met with DHL, Amazon, and ATSG executives. ATSG executives even took the opportunity to request photos in front of our booth with us, our customers, and industry experts. You should be proud to know that our pilot group received considerable praise for keeping our operation running smoothly.
ATSG CEO Mike Berger spoke on Day 3 of the conference. He gave a positive outlook for ATSG and cargo opportunities. He emphasized our express delivery roots and the ABX pilots’ superior service during his on-stage interview, specifically crediting our pilots for the quick and seamless introduction of the Amazon aircraft.
We feel very confident that our continued execution of safe, reliable, and on-time flights will contribute to our operation’s growth over time.
Some in the decision tree for aircraft placement commented that this might have been the best Cargo Facts appearance to date for the ABX Pilot group. It was very apparent that multiple operators are looking to the Airbus 330 as the next fleet addition on a large scale. Our ABX-painted A-330 model was a hot topic of discussion, making it abundantly clear that our pilot group, if called upon to operate the A-330, could respond swiftly and meet their expectations.
Fraternally,
