Update: Harvey & Irma Disaster Relief

Local 1224 Crew Members,

Many pilots represented by Teamsters Local 1224 currently reside in or near the areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. These events are a tragedy and our thoughts remain with everyone concerned. Members affected by Hurricanes Harvey or Irma may be eligible for assistance from the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund.

Affected members applying for assistance should return the completed “Request for Help” form (including all requested documentation) to the Local Union a minimum of two to three weeks prior to the International Teamster deadline:

Hurricane HARVEY – Texas



We previously issued a notice listing the counties eligible for assistance. The initial list of counties has been amended. If you reside in one of the following counties and experienced a loss due to this disaster, you may be eligible for assistance:

Aransas, Austin, Bastrop, Bee, Brazoria, Calhoun, Chambers, Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, Goliad, Gonzales, Hardin, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Karnes, Kleberg, Lavaca, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton, Nueces, Orange, Polk, Refugio, Sabine, San Jacinto, San Patricio, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, and Wharton

The completed “Request for Help” form (including all requested documentation) must be returned to the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund by November 15, 2017. Because verification by the Local Union is required first, members should allow additional time for processing. If you reside in one of the affected areas and wish to apply for assistance, please complete the form provided through the following link and return it to the Local 1224 office no later than November 1, 2017.

Hurricane IRMA – Florida



If you reside in one of the following counties and experienced a loss due to this disaster, you may be eligible for assistance:

Alchua, Baker, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Suwannee, Union, Volusia

If you reside in one of the following municipalities and experienced a loss due to this disaster, you may be eligible for assistance:

Canovanas, Culebra, Louiza and Vieques

Because verification by the Local Union is required first, members should allow additional time for processing.
